An efficient overnight train journey from Paris Gare du Nord delivered me to Berlin Zoologischer Bahnhof.

My first two weeks in Berlin have been exhilarating – finding a place to live and starting an intensive language course at the Goethe Institute.

I have settled in a shared apartment with two young Berlin women and it has been good to have a solid base from which to operate. The stability has enabled me to concentrate on my language course.

My time in this apartment is limited so I am searching for a new apartment and I hope to resettle sometime in the next week.

I do hope I can stay here in Berlin – it is an exciting city with a rich cultural life. There is always something to enjoy.
