On Friday 23 June I had a meeting with Bernard Stein at the Metadesign headquarters in Berlin.

Prior to my visit to Metadesign and my meeting with Bernard I was unaware that design studios came in such large packages. Metadesign is an enormous multinational organisation with the Berlin office alone employing approximately two hundred staff. The staff capabilities are almost equally divided with one half of the staff engaged with design activities while the remaining staff are dedicated to the business offerings of the office.

Metadesign offers a complex array of services with a strong focus on corporate branding and imaging. The office communicates using language with which the business community is familiar. Metadesign talks about strategic goals and success factors.

As a result of its incredible size the office has the ability to deal with the complex delivery of corporate imaging. Metadesign can assure its clients of timely and considered outcomes and has the infrastructure to ensure that design solutions can be implemented and managed in complex corporate environments.
